Do you want to create a Likert scale questionnaire to learn more about your audience?
Likert scales are commonly used in surveys to take a quick poll of your users. It has more than just the standard ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ choices and gives users more space to express their opinion.
A Likert rating scale helps measure user experiences (UX) with this more detailed approach.
In this article, we’ll show you how to create a Likert scale questionnaire in WordPress without editing any code.
But first, let’s make sure we’re clear on what a Likert scale is.
What Is a Likert Scale?
The Likert scale was designed by Rensis Likert, a Social Psychologist in the early 20th century. It has a scaled format of answer choices that you can use to collect users’ opinions.
The scale ranges from 5 to 7 points, including:
- Strongly disagree
- Slightly disagree
- Neither disagree nor agree
- Slightly agree
- Strongly agree
These answer choices will vary based on the context of your questions.
You can select a format of either 5 or 7 points, and it’ll follow throughout your Likert scale questionnaire. The scale should always have an odd number. This way, each question will offer a middle (neutral) choice not to force users to fall for one or the other side.
